Becks- 19 months

What can I say, this kid is something else.  He is really funny and goofy.  He smiles so easy, but laughs so little. Its always sweet when we can get a chuckle out of him.
His favorite song is Paradise by Coldplay, Itsy bitsy spider, and Monkeys swinging in a tree.
This boy is an eater.  He easily eats more than Rhys.  He also loves to feed himself, usually with utensils.  His favorite food is beef and dessert, you can always get him to eat more of both.  He doesn't like watermelon, noodles, or anything green.
He is also a sleeper. It is not uncommon for him to sleep 13 hours at night and a 2 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon.  When he doesn't get enough sleep, he is grumpy.
He has a really deep voice for a little guy.  It sounds nothing like Rhys' angelic voice, it is definitely his own.
He is beginning to use words.  He still babbles things when he thinks hes talking but actual words include: train (tain), boat, truck (tuck), big truck, car, daddy, Rhys, nana, papa, koda (kida), doggy, woof, no, yea, yes, please (pees), thank you (ti too), and trys counting (uh, two, tee), what, boat, car, stuck, help (hep), and drink, apple (apo), ect. What you will notice is not on that list is momma.  He does not say momma. Ever. If asked within a long list of things he does say, he just doesn't do it. I won't lie, i hate it.
He is really good at sharing. He doesnt like things ripped from his hands but will give you anything if you ask. He is really good at sharing.
He has started running, but its not very fast. It mostly looks like crazy legs and flailing arms.  Its pretty cute.
He loves to jump into the pool when we go swimming, with or without his floatie on.
He loves to follow his brother around and do whatever he does.
He has a stubborn streak in him.  He is so much like me its crazy.
He still has his red hair and these eyes that change everyday. Sometimes they look like they are turning green or brown, but most of the time they still look steal gray.

Rhys

Oh, Love this boy.  He is the sweetest, happiest kid I have ever.  He is so sweet to everyone and has been a complete joy in our family.  He has been such a strong rock in our family through out this whole process.  When its really hard on Justin and me he is always there to put everything into perspective.  Heres a few of what hes up to lately.
His favorite songs are Paradise by Coldplay, The wise man built his house upon the rock, and The big 'ol daddy spider
His favorite color is green.
His favorite food is hamburgers, hot dogs and pasta.
He loves bike rides, climbing, hiking, swimming with his floaties, jumping, and running.
He is the interpreter for his brothers babble.  "Beckham wants a drink."
Anytime I wear a skirt or dress he says "Oh momma, are you a princess? So cute."
He is so smart.  He will remember everything you say and apply it at random times.  For instance, I mentioned that school buses take the kids to school. And when he is 5 he gets to go to school.  So now anytime a school bus passes, he says, "when I'm five, I get to ride the school bus all by myself. And when Beckham is five, he can go with me too. We can go to school together."  I really hope he gets to ride the bus.

He is still snuggles like crazy at every chance he can.  Every morning when he wakes up he crawls into bed and snuggles for at least 30 minutes.  Since Beckham wakes up usually and hour later, he will often just play with his trains until B wakes up.
He still giggles at everything.
He loves to go to the beach and loves to be in the sand, but hates to actually go anywhere near the ocean.  This isn't great for Daddy's surfing buddy, so hopefully he gets over this aversion.
He is just like his daddy.  They say the same things, make the same faces, and are so alike its crazy.
Every stage with this kid has been better than the last.  I love how we can have our own little conversations and he can keep up.  I love it.
He is such a goofball! He is constantly making us laugh and making his brother laugh. It is the sweetest thing to see those two laughing together, and fortunately its becoming a more common thing.
Basically, I love this kid.  He is perfect to me.

Rhys- 2yo 7mo

What a fire cracker. This kid is so crazy and so fun. Everyday he says or does something new that has me cracking up. His vocabulary has gotten really amazing.

He weighs in at 34 also very heavy pounds.
He is so sweet. He loves to give hugs, beso's and "I love you mom" in this funny voice. Everyday when dad comes home he runs to the garage and opens the door and says "Hey dad, how go work?" Which is then followed by "bye mom, have fun in the big truck. Dont forget your purse."
He loves trains, planes and automobiles. His favorite movie is CARS, and a close second is CARS 2. He loves Mater, "Lightming", and "Bachesco" (Francesco). He also loves to watch Chuggington and Thomas. He could spend hours driving his trains around their tracks and he carries one of them where ever he goes. Unfortunately that means we have lost a few and that his supply has dwindled. Good thing Christmas is around the corner.

He loves to run and jump and chase and be chased, and since his orthodics, he has becomes so much better at keeping up.

His favorite day is wednesday when we go to Story time. He knows when we drive by the library and when we get to pull in he is so happy. He loves when we go to our friends house. He plays so well with other kids. He is just a happy kid.

He loves his brother. If Beckham is crying he says "Mom go check on Brother." And when he wakes up he usually beats me into his room to say "Hi brother. Hi cutie." He is also learning how to share. He usually needs to be reminded that if he wants the toy brother is playing with, then he needs to get him another one. But sometimes he gives him all his best toys just to be nice. Or he will bring an extra train for brother when I tell him to just bring 2. When I ask him to only bring two again, he informs me this is for brother.
He still loves cheese, pasta, apples, cookies, "shlocate" (chocolate), cereal, carrots, puffs (one of Beckhams foods. He informs me, "Rhysie loves Puffs too. Can I have some?") and "samwiches."He knowss most of his letters and can count to 16 consecutively. He is still grasping the concept of evey thing gets one number when you are counting how many, but sometimes he gets it right. He is also finally figuring out which color is what. He used to say everything was blue or green.

Beckham-10 months

I have been the worst at keeping track of things for this ones baby book, so I need to put down a few things.

This kid. Boy. He has been something else from the get go. I could not be more wrapped around his fat little finger. He is so happy. Like really really happy. The only time he is fussy is if he is stuck, or is ready for bed.

He is 22.8 very heavy pounds.
He does not crawl. He didnt even roll until October, but he has gotten pretty efficient at getting to where he wants to go. I think he is a bit closer to walking than crawling.
He has 5 teeth (3 on top, 2 on bottom).
He loves to play with whatever his brother is playing with. If Rhys has his train set out, Beckham rolls right on over (and usually right on top of it) to destroy, I mean play with. Luckily Rhys is getting better at sharing.

He loves to watch his brother and laugh at whatever he is laughing at.

When ever he sees something he wants, he starts diving, climbing and reaching with everything he has to get it.

He babbles, squeales, yells, squacks, blows bubbles, grunts, and laughs in this deep little voice until you look at him. Then he flashes his big grin.

He still sucks his thumb, but only sometimes. Im hoping he kicks this habbit all together real soon.
A typical night is he goes to bed at 7:30, wakes up at 6am to eat and go right back to sleep till 9. I am totally ok with this set up. It helps that the sun doesn't come up till 7:30 so he can dose off again.

He still has red hair, these steel grey eyes, and some big 'ol cheeks.
Its hard to remember life without him. He gets more and more fun every day.

Rhys Update

These have been the best 8 1/2 months!! Rhys is getting so big and fun, every day is better than the last. Its amazing how much they change daily, and there is no place I would rather be than here watching it happen. Heres what its like living with this kiddo.

  • Hes crawling... everywhere. He favorite place to go is where ever koda is, where ever her toys are, or over to the heater because its got a glowing red fo-fire that catches his eye.

  • His favorite toys are Koda's, and this wooden car his great granma gave him for christmas.

  • he has 3 teeth, the 2 middle bottom, and one on the top next to his front teeth (I clearly do not know what they are called) and hes working on 3 more.

  • His sleeping has been pretty horrible! Im really bummed because he was sleeping so well at about 4 months and it lasted until his teeth started coming in, and now, only getting up once a night is a HUGE blessing! ugh! But he will sleep a total of 12 hours, so I guess it could be worse.
  • He has figured out being funny and has the cutest laugh ever.

  • He can eat and oh how he loves to! He loves carrots, pears, apples, peaches, peas, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, bananas, cheerios, puffs, bread, blueberry, yogurt, potatoes, juice, water and anything else you put in front of him.

  • He is getting down to only 1 nap per day, and goes to bed everynight by 8 with out a fuss. (is this to early to be at 1 nap???)

  • He loves riding in the car, and where that used to put him right to sleep, he now loves to look at all the things passing by in the windows.
  • He discovered his own voice, and likes to let you know he is here!
  • He loves watching football with daddy, thats probably the only time he is quiet and still.

  • He is still the biggest snuggle bug ever. He loves to be held, hugged, kissed, and he will just snuggle up to you.
  • he has to touch and explore everything with his big old sausage fingers!

  • the best part of our day is in the morning when he wakes up and we just lay together for like 30 minutes having "pillow talk." There is no better way to start a day!!

uh. oh.

seven months and ready for trouble! I wonder where he learned this one!

rhys at 4 months

My little man has gotten soo big, but so much more fun! He is interacting so much now. We had a little photo shoot for his birthday to capture his cuteness. He is laughing, smiling, talking, babbling and flirting all the time. He also celebrated by playing on the river napping outside (his favorite) and then sleeping 11 straight hours. He is drooling A TON (which lends me to think hes teething). His favorite activities are swimming, dancing, jumping, bath time, reading, giggling, talking and he's rolled over once, but has yet to be repeated.
To my Little man, you rock!!

he has become the biggest smiler and talker! Nothing is better than getting a big gummy smile!

8 weeks and changing

I still cant believe how much he changes from week to week. He has gotten so much stronger and more alert even just from 2 weeks ago. He follows your voice when you talk to him, and has these big googley eyes that he uses to look at everything. Hes the biggest snuggler, and loves when I rub his head, it puts him right to sleep. He gets so excited and happy when Justin gets home. As soon as he hear's him, he perks up and starts looking around till he see's him. It is the cutest thing!
Its amazing to think that not too long ago, he I was feeling him kickin around inside. And now, after 8 weeks and routines getting settled, I forget that he's really mine.
