navy seals

So justin did this navy seals training thing with my brother. i was there for only a few minutes at the very end to take a few pictures and just that was brutal. So i can only inamgine what the rest of his day consisted of. But he felt like such a stud and I think he got his fill, and crossed JAG off his list of future employers.

and did i mention that log is 150 lbs?!?!

We blessed Rhys on the 7th of August in California. It was a beautiful family event at my mothers house. Justin gave him a beautiful blessing and I am so greatful he has such a wonderful example as a dad. It was only immediate family and one of my favorite people who was able to be the presiding bishop. Perfect and I couldnt have asked for a better evening.

what to do when the hubby is busy studying... go to CA!! Rhys and I hopped on a plane and headed down to my hometown. Thank goodness my grandma was with us on the plane, because I was soo nervous he would be screaming the whole time. But he did great! He was awake and playing for the first hour and a half, and slept right through the landing. But it was a great trip filled with family, friends, food, a wedding, a castle, food, shopping, swimming, 3 major blowouts, sunshine and even more yummy food.

We headed north to Santa Barbara, Solvang and San lois Obispo for a wedding, Hearst Castle and some Danish food. It was lots of fun!

Then back home for some shopping and good food. Rhys was being so spoiled with hugs and kisses from his cousin Ashlyn. She just wanted to hold him and hug him all the time.

Not that anything particularly happened today or these are at all that great, but I think they are too cute, ergo you should see them and think they are too cute also. "oops, did i spit on you?"

8 weeks and changing

I still cant believe how much he changes from week to week. He has gotten so much stronger and more alert even just from 2 weeks ago. He follows your voice when you talk to him, and has these big googley eyes that he uses to look at everything. Hes the biggest snuggler, and loves when I rub his head, it puts him right to sleep. He gets so excited and happy when Justin gets home. As soon as he hear's him, he perks up and starts looking around till he see's him. It is the cutest thing!

Its amazing to think that not too long ago, he I was feeling him kickin around inside. And now, after 8 weeks and routines getting settled, I forget that he's really mine.
