We took a quick overnight trip to Yosemite with my mom to drop my dad and brother off on a 8 day backpack trip.  What a beautiful place.  I want to go back and spend a week in the beauty that is Yosemite National Park and Valley. Stunning.
It was a long couple days of driving, so we had to stop and let the kids throw rocks a couple of times. Highlight of their trip I'm sure.
We got into the Valley and found our sweet accommodation.  "Heated canvas tent" is what is was called, and the only detail lost was that its not heated in the summer.  We froze. The boys each had our sleeping bags because it was so hot still at 10pm that I didnt bring in everyones, Rhys slept on the floor on mine and my mom and I shared a very cold hard bed.  And these things arent sound proof, so we heard every noise anyone around us made.  It was horrible. I'll be more prepared next time.

We spent that night playing around the village and watching the beautiful sunset on the mountains.

The next day, we hiked around a bit. But due to our lack of sleep the night before, we did not last long.  One more round of playing in the river before we loaded up and headed home.

Ice Cream

I just think these are too cute.  I love these boys and I love to watch them eat a cone!

Fourth of July

This was the first day since Justin began studying that he took a half day off from the books.  He has been studying like crazy, probably even harder than for the Oregon BAR, so we were very grateful to have him for half a day.  We started a day of at a parade in La Verne.  It was fun, but they need a lesson in parade candy.  Thanks to some people behind us who brought their own candy, the kids had a great time scavenging.

Then we headed over to play in the pool before our BBQ.

We BBQ'ed and then headed to the Lowe's parking lot to play some wiffle ball and wait for the fireworks to start.

Finally the fireworks started. It was a great end to a great day.

June Week 4

This week we took a couple days to head down to San Clemente and have some fun with our friends the Wards. Always a great time.
